TEDx is a grassroots initiative, created in the spirit of TED’s overall mission to research and discover “ideas worth spreading.” TEDxKahilipara was held on December 26, 2025, at Jyotichitrabon, as part of TED's grassroots initiative. The event brought the spirit of TED to the local community, featuring live talks by visionary thinkers, emerging leaders, and entrepreneurs under one platform. TEDxKahilipara included live speakers and recorded the talks.
It was organized independently under a license granted by TED to Stuti Banik Thakuria, an educator, artist, and content creator. TEDxKahilipara is an independently organized TED event designed to bring together visionary thinkers, emerging leaders, and industry professionals. As a new TEDx event, it was eager to create a unique experience for the audience. The event served as a catalyst for innovation, creativity, and collaboration, offering a stage where groundbreaking ideas could inspire action and change.
Mayur Bora, writer and critic was the chief guest on the occasion. He said that it's interesting how these days, anyone can become a standup comedian. Many a times, its seen that people from different professions become a stand-up comedian as a passion. Many do it to deal with the stress and anxiety that we human beings face in today's world.
TEDxKahilipara featured the following speakers: Neelakshi Sharma, Ankita Adhikari, Jimli Mohanta, Banashree Bora, Prasenjit Sharma, Ritam Changkakati, Angaraj Duwara, Arshel Akhtar, and Kiran Boro. They discussed topics including: The scientific relation between space exploration and our living room, When Pain Becomes Medicine: The Hidden Alchemy of Healing, Sound of possibility - how technology empowers visually impaired musicians, Content Creation with a Conscience, Storytelling - Humanity's oldest technology, From Potential to Progress: Supporting Women's Development, The Invisible People: Why we need to take pedestrians seriously, Finding myself after fifty, and Anger Management. The entire event aimed to inspire innovation, creativity, and collaboration.
