Assam has witnessed the worst kind of human tragedy in the recent conflict of Bodoland. The teachings of humanity lay forgotten in the midst of death and destruction. The saddest part of this tragedy is that children were innocent victims of such an outcome.
UTSAH is an ngo which aims at creating safer spaces that ensure survival and protection, and fosters the development of children who are in need of care and protection
"Do we find any justifiable cause or even a semblance of meaning in all of this when such violence is witnessed through the eyes of the child?" questions Miguel Das Queah of UTSAH.
In memory of the children who fell victims of this savagery, UTSAH (Universal Team for Social Action), an ngo is organizing a Candlelight Vigil at Dighalipukhuri, Guwahati, Assam on the 14th of May, 2014, at 6.00pm, seeking the protection for all children in Bodoland.
Date: May 14, 2014
Time: 6 pm,
Venue: Dighalipukhuri, Guwahati
"We are also arranging a signature campaign to urge the Chief Minister to undertake proactive measures to secure the protection of all children living in the BTAD," adds Queah.
