Love- so complicated and sometimes so simple, you can never ignore it. A new day, a new lesson, a new meaning of love discovered. What is love? I still have no answer, all I know, love is unconditional and a blessing. When it comes to love it sees no gender, it is about hearts (EMOTIONS) not physical form.
My eyes welled up with tears as I read Jiah's last letter. She tried to make things right; forgave, struggled, and spent a year hanging on to the concepts of faith, hope, and love in her relationship. There are many Jiah’s in our societies who are hopelessly romantic in love with a wrong person. Love is beautiful but it can back fire at you if you are blind in love!
I think the real problem about love is finding the right partner and trust me, you cannot hunt for one. I have been for blind dates, match making etc. Those stuffs are fun but if you are genuinely seeking for true love, it is destiny. I strongly believe so. The worst thing about being alone is feeling you are alone. It’s okay not to be okay. It is wise to break up with someone who you think is not the one. It’s okay to cry for our losses. It’s okay to mourn the dreams that didn’t pan out. It’s okay to hurt and not have things figured out. And it’s also okay to be open to change. To recover from a break up is not easy but look around there do exist people who truly love you- family and friends.
Everyone experiences pain sometimes, emotional and physical. Next time it threatens to overwhelm you, take a deep breath. As you breathe slowly, picture God holding you, crying with you, giving you the strength to get through. Remember: everything will be okay if we love and believe in ourselves. The antidote to pain is not on the outside. It is within us. We need to accept the new reality, drop the past and move on. Why waste time in the past? It is already history. To enter the palace of tomorrow, we have to exit the cemetery of yesterday!
“Love yourself—accept yourself—forgive yourself—and be good to yourself, because without you the rest of us are without a source of many wonderful things.”
