This story subsequently became the highest profile women's rights case in recent Pakistani history. She is the only journalist in Pakistan's foremost daily newspaper, Dawn, to write on divisive blasphemy law, including interviews with prisoners facing death penalty. The publication is the most prestigious English publication, established by the founder of Pakistan, Mohammed Ali Jinnah. She is one of the founding members of South Asian Women in Media (SAWM), the first association for female media professionals in this geographical region, comprising members of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries. She is also the media adviser to Pakistani politician and international cricketer Imran Khan.
