She has also been a Freelance Corporate Trainer for Soft Skills and Communication for RBS and Frankfinn in New Delhi and Gurgaon. She had even hosted a TV programme “North East Round Up” on Doordarshan telecast from Delhi. She had delivered presentations on Emotional Intelligence to senior level army officers at Dehradun in 2004 and hosted radio programmes for All India Radio, Leh. She has done professional emceeing for many government and private shows. She had done voiceovers for many documentaries telecast (Doordarshan) in both national and regional slots, mostly related to wildlife, social systems and various other areas. She has been reading English news for North East News for Doordarshan Kendra Guwahati from 1997 to 2001 and was awarded the Best English News Reader in the year 2000. She has travelled extensively in India and  abroad. She holds a Masters in English Literature from GU and PG Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication from IGNOU.
