He convenes a civil society network called 'Water Initiatives Odisha' and runs several campaigns including one to save the River Mahanadi. Popularly known as Water Man of Odisha, he is also a leading voice of water in India. He has been involved in direct action of water conservation by reviving traditional water harvesting systems of Odisha and have also taking up several research and advocacy initiatives around Rivers and Water Bodies.
